Reyes has officially turned me into a Superhero Nerd!!
I used to always tease him about how many
useless facts he seemed to know
about any and every superhero or comic!
But he's rubbing off on me! :)
We finally got through watching all 10 Seasons of the Smallville series!
Let me put this into perspective for you...
We got married 8 months ago...
and it took us 6 months to finish the series...
Welp! There goes a big chunk of our first year married!
But what great memories we made,
sneaking upstairs any chance we got
to cuddle on the couch watching such a great show!
Smallville literally became an emotional roller coaster for me-
laughing, crying, screaming in anger, shouting for joy!
We knew the show coming to an end was going to be disappointing,
So I knew I had to create a grand Smallville themed date for the series finale!
Complete with homemade decorations, games, and food!
So... Welcome to Smallville!
Clark Kent changes into his Superman costume in telephone booths.
So our bedroom became the telephone booth.
Reyes changed into Superman!
And I was The Daily Planet's star reporter and Clark's love, Lois Lane!
Next we traveled to Metropolis!

For snacks we had Kryptonite (Jolly Ranchers) and Super Suckers. I didn't get pictures of those.
Throughout the night, we played games to see who would be the best Superman!
First, I created a Smallville version of the Game of Life!
The game was to wind us through the whole life of Clark Kent, from Season 1 to Season 10!
Next, we would play mini games having to do with each of Clark's super powers!
Super speed through Kryptonite!
The next game was Super Hearing!
For this game, I gathered quotes from all the seasons.
The object of the game was to correctly name who said the quote!
We also played a game for Heat Vision.
For those of you who don't know useless facts about Superman,
like I do now,
Superman is strengthened by the sun!
And Gold Kryptonite takes away his powers forever!
So the winner of the most games got SUNkist and SUNflower seeds,
to strengthen him!
And the loser got "gold kryptonite" to take her powers away!
The many dates we had watching Smallville for 6 months
and this themed date for the series finale
was deemed "our best date yet"
by my husband!
And I must say, I think I might agree :)
